{W}ater tower – As I mulled over what I would take a picture of Friday my mind finally settled on the trusty {w}ater tower in my neighborhood and at my high school…

I’ve always loved this {w}ater tower and I have panicked when rumors have surfaced that it might come down… Happily I don’t think it is going anywhere but it no longer delivers the drinking water to the school.  I LOVED the taste of the water out of the drinking fountains there…

Collection
73/365
I’ve never been much of a collector…

At some point in my childhood I was given spoons from different States…
That was fun but eventually it stopped…After that the only other {collection} I have ever had are my postcards…

I began receiving cards long before I ever believed I would have the opportunity to travel the world.  And it has been a THRILL to finally visit some of the locations that I had received postcards from years ago…

As a teacher I was in the perfect position to beg my traveling students to bring/send me a postcard for my {collection} from where ever they were traveling.
I have cards from Iceland, Romania, Turkey, Zambia, Ukraine, Korea, Latvia…

I have 192 international postcards (at least that many from the US) from 45 different countries…It is a {collection} I continue to add too and enjoy immensely!

A Window
74/365
{A window}- I love windows for a few reasons…
First and most importantly they provide light…
I know there are some people that prefer to keep their windows closed, covered…
The first thing I do when I enter a room is open/look out a window…

The second reason I love windows is they can add so much character to a building…
I especially love old windows…
They were bigger, uniquely shaped and often opened wide…
Back in the days when no one worried about small children falling out of them…

Modern buildings do nothing for me…
I admit that from the interior I’m sure they offer fantastic views…
But all the windows are the same…and they don’t open!

I love the contrast of the old and new in this photo…

It was a wildly windy day here in the PDX/Vancouver area on Sunday! Spring and its multiple personalities has certainly arrived!
