Selfie/Sweet Tooth/Inspiration

Selfie

24/365
I’m not a fan of {selfies}…
I immediately zoom in on all the things I don’t like about myself in the picture…
And we all know that we only post pictures of ourselves when we are happy with the outcome…
How many do we delete before we finally agree to one?
It was pointed out to me by some of my overly critical friends 🙂 that this is not technically a {selfie}–because I did not take it myself…
There was no way I was going to take a closeup shot and my arms are only so long…
Plus, I wanted a picture of me doing something I love instead of just looking at the camera…
Besides I have already freely admitted to being a cheater in this program…

Sweet Tooth

Have you ever had that overwhelming craving for something sweet?

And there is NOTHING in the house to satisf_y that {sweet tooth} except for the bag of chocolate chips in the cupboard?
But you are so desperate/lazy that you don’t take the time to make the cookies you just cut the bag open and eat the chocolate chips…

Surely, I’m not the only one…

My husband is a pretty amazing chocolate chip cookie maker…

Last night only an hour after our long journey home Ty simply asked “Dad will you make some cookies?”  And wallah he had a batch whipped up and in the oven. 🙂 And our {sweet tooth} was very satisf_ied!

Inspiration

Where do you find {inspiration}?

What inspires you?

Who inspires you?

An author?

A painting/photograph?

A friend/family member?

Creativity?

Intellect?

Daring?

A carefree/confident spirit?

Travel?

Who do you {inspire}?

As I considered this photo prompt I really didn’t know how on earth I would decide what to take a picture of…

But then I decided on the above picture because I remember being so clearly {inspired} when I saw this piano on a recent trip to California.  I stumbled across the piano outside a barn that is used for various gatherings.  The piano had been relegated to the smoking section…

I noticed the keys, the leaves, nuts, needles.  The cracking wooden keys, the faded color and I was so thankful I had my camera with me.

I truly had a moment of {inspire}ation…

I saw the angle I wanted to take the picture.

I knew I wanted to print it large and on birch wood…

I could see it all and I was EXCITED.  Really! I was very anxious about this picture.  I made a fool out of myself dragging a chair over and standing on it while others milled around eating lunch.  I took several pictures, terrified I would mess the picture up some how…

I’m very happy with the end result and I’m very happy I listened to what was {inspire}ing me in that moment.  Often I make excuses to not stop, not take a moment and fully take in something that has caught my attention.  It is one of the things I love most about photography.  When I am walking around with my camera I see the World in an entirely different way.

I am walking around waiting to be {inspire}d…
