First Day of Summer

Happy Summer! It has felt like Summer to me for awhile now but today it is official!

This past weekend was a whirlwind! Saturday I had the privilege of photographing a former students wedding!  I was so excited to photograph her outdoor wedding under the gorgeous willows at my favorite park! And then there was rain, hail, sun, rain, etc – I will share the story and more of her lovely pictures on Wednesdays blog  😉

Sunday we packed up Josh (he is always packing!) and convoyed up to Bellevue to move him into his new home for the Summer.  Jeff rode with Josh and as I followed I could see them happily chatting away for 3 hours. It was a better Father’s Day gift  than I could have given him.

Josh is renting a room in a home right in Bellevue. Today is his first day and I’m anxious to hear what his impressions are! We enjoyed the opportunity to see where he would be living and working. God has worked it all out for him! Even though he hasn’t lived at home for awhile now I had some interesting emotions leaving him there. It felt so different…. So real life! He is going to do awesome! I am so proud of him!

He is renting a room in a lovely home on a golf course. He has everything he needs including a laundry room!

He lives only 15 minutes away from his new job at Tetra Tech. There are 3 routes to get there so he has options in bad traffic.

The view of the golf course from the back deck – I would be happy just living on the deck!

It took Jeff and I 2.5 hours to get home last night. Traffic was lite so that was great. It took us just over 3 to get there. Traffic is no fun up there!

Happily he will be home this coming weekend  😀  Because the Timbers are playing and he has tickets!  🙄

Wedding day! It was pouring rain and we were tucked under the eaves for this shot! The brides lovely hair was in a {curly} up-do!

The greatest gift of my adult life has been my husband. He is an amazing husband and father! I was scared about having kids. Scared about my abilities but I knew the man I had married would be amazing and he has been! He is loved and respected by his children who recognize the man he is. All my boys have ever known is a {dad} who is always there and 100% committed to them in every way. Not everyone is life has the blessing of a loving committed father and I’m so grateful my kids do!
